Kastor, MD, Professor of Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, works with academic medical centers, medical schools, teaching hospitals, and community hospitals affiliated with medical schools. An experienced administrator, clinician, and investigator, he is a nationally-recognized authority who can help these organizations resolve their governance, professional, and operational problems.
In addition to an extensive record of clinical research in cardiology, Dr. Kastor has written four books and several articles on the challenges facing academic medical centers and teaching hospitals. His current project is a study of the National Institutes of Health.
